Google Hiring SEO Account Manager

Google is hiring an account manager to work on its SEO performance, with a target to ‘drive organic traffic’ to websites under the search giant’s umbrella.

A posting on Google’s careers portal highlights the need for a ‘Program Manager of Technical SEO’ to work cross functionally alongside ‘marketing, sales, product development’ and ‘engineering’. A minimum requirement of two years SEO experience is needed, with four years experience of developing websites and applications using SQL, HTML5 and XML.

The job posting makes no mention of needing experience in link building.

Let’s just hope they don’t get a penalty.
