Meet Polaris' New Social and Content Executive - Vandita Dhoot
Hello, I’m Vandita. I was born in Hong Kong, brought up in India and now live in London. I’ve joined POLARIS as a Social and Content Executive and I can’t wait to grow the company as well as myself with this role.
About me
I’ve lived in multiple cities around the world, all the way from Hong Kong and Mumbai to New York and Chicago and now London. This not only taught me to adapt quickly, but also to embrace what life may throw at me. I absolutely love winter, which is the reason I enjoyed walking around Chicago in -24C (which felt like -42C due to wind chill) and I can tell you there’s nothing quite as thrilling.
I’m a dog person through and through. If you see a girl sitting around the parks in London, staring at all the dogs that walk by or trying to hug every one of them, come say hi to me! I had five dogs at home in India, so London feels lonely without a pet – I hope to be able to adopt a dog at some point. Other than obsessing over dogs, I live to eat. I’m always on the lookout for new restaurants or new foods to try (mock/soy meat is what excites me these days). I’m from India, so you’ll almost never see me at an Indian restaurant in London because I can cook ‘real’ Indian food at home, a 10000x better than any restaurant here.
Previous experience
Previously I’ve worked for a PR and SM agency in India as a Social Media Executive, where I managed multiple clients from various industries by myself. It was a challenging yet fulfilling role because I got to learn and grow within a short span. The role boosted my confidence and made me realise if I’m passionate about something, I will go after it until I’ve given my best.
With POLARIS, I get the opportunity to grow personally as well as professionally, a key factor in trying to become the best in what I do. I met the team for the first time less than a week ago, and I’m already so excited to get cracking with a welcoming, ambitious, and fun team! In such a short span I can confidently say that a few months down the line, I would’ve grown by leaps and bounds thanks to the ever-encouraging team. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store.
