The Agency

POLARIS is a leading SEO agency providing campaigns for clients globally. Working with both ecommerce and B2B clients, our partners include Dune London, Sodexo, Thomson Reuters, and Mars. We are a close-knit team that identifies and drives traffic through SEO campaigns that convert.

Due to growth in the business, we are looking for a Content Manager that has a passion for content, digital PR, and social media and who keeps up to date with the latest news and trends globally.

The role

Take the driving seat and full ownership over content at a rapidly growing agency. You will come into the team and apply your experiences to craft content strategies that drive a clearly measurable increase in performance for our clients.

You’ll be taking on existing systems and processes and applying your creativity and passion to develop the agencies approach to content.

You will have the opportunity to help recruit, train and develop the team, investing in your own growth and that of the agencies at the same time.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Take control of content for the agency and lead content strategy across our accounts
  • Understand client accounts, their primary subject areas and ideate topics and content areas to produce content that will fuel their SEO campaigns.
  • Create long form and short form content with measurement of attracting customers through SEO best practices.
  • Produce SEO optimised content for client websites, following best practice on page SEO optimisation techniques.
  • Maintain content marketing calendars that schedule all aspects of content creation and delivery of content throughout the year across all platforms, including email, web, blog and social media for client accounts.
  • Conducting SEO focused keyword research to understand user behaviour and informational needs that can be crafted into the fibre of content produced for maximum effectiveness.
  • Creating content strategies for clients that segment customers across different stages of their journey e.g awareness, engagement, commitment
  • Use SEO tools to report on the performance of content produced (weekly, monthly, quarterly) across landing pages, news, blogs, and whitepapers (and others) to demonstrate performance to clients.
  • Conducting FAQ research and generating responses to these queries to increase traffic to client’s sites.
  • Stay up to date with digital developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention.
  • Create in depth blogs and guidance pieces for the agency to fuel the agencies own marketing strategies.
  • Assist in creating hitlists for digital PR so that content can be distributed to third parties.
  • Manage a media hitlist for outreach purposes for key accounts, assisting with content placement for offsite SEO.
  • Recruit train and manage executives to further the growth of the business.

Must be a Peoples person who is Kent or London based.

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days from an office location with the MD and 3 days from home.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a content role within an agency.
  • Excellent understanding of the customer journey and how to target customers.
  • Highly creative with experience of ideation for client campaigns.
  • Experience of putting together campaign briefs and presenting them to clients for approval and feedback.
  • Strong user of Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of SEO practices, and content’s role within an SEO strategy, for both on page and off page optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of consumer targeting, and demographic profiling for B2B and B2C.
  • Strong Understanding of on page Optimisation, Off page optimisation, Google Algorithms
  • Excellent creative writing skills with superb storytelling, grammar, punctuation.
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Extremely well organised, in both time and project management
  • Strongly creative, ideating content campaigns, and pitching concepts.
  • Analytical mind-set with a strong ability for paying attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Ambitious, with a clear desire to grow into management.

Candidate Desirables

  • Experience of using Moz, Screaming Frog, Majestic, Authoritas, SEM Rush etc.
  • Strong user of Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of SEO practices, and content’s role within an SEO strategy, for both on page and off page optimisation.
  • Strong Understanding of On page Optimisation, Off page optimisation, Google Algorithms.
