Google’s desktop dominance has transferred onto mobile as Q2 figures show the search engine taking a greater handheld search share.
Figures from RKG show organic search rose 12% in Q2 2015 against 2014, with smartphone searches see the highest growth rate. The statistics show that Google had an 89% mobile search share, compared to 7.1% for Yahoo with Bing producing just 4.1%.
Again this highlights a shift in trend towards mobile and tablet search, accounting for over half of the organic search market.
These are the first quarterly figures on mobile search trends since Google’s Mobile Update on April 21st.
