Increasing new customers through SEO

Farmdrop approached POLARIS to deliver an SEO strategy that delivered an increase in customers looking for organic, quality food from trusted producers in the UK. POLARIS met with the food delivery company and after delivering an audit of their current performance, engaged with them to improve their SEO traffic and sales.

With lots of products and lots of suppliers, the Farmdrop website had a very dense website architecture that had built up organically over time.

The biggest initial opportunity in improving the organic food delivery company's SEO was to focus purely on technical SEO aspects. We worked with the client to audit their website architecture and improve it for both search engine crawlers and users alike.

By relaunching the website with a more efficient architecture, with improved internal linking, the client's website saw a spike in target keyword positions and our work started to demonstrate early results.

Giving customers the information they need

We worked with the client to strengthen the quality of their producers' profiles, as this would help build SEO equity within the site. With richer landing pages for producers that connected to the produce they supplied, we were able to better story tell around where produce came from, and connect all of this information for the user.

Over a 12 month period, POLARIS achieved a 700% increase in organic traffic for the client, and a 845% increase in new customer accounts opened.
