Replatform Migration Case Study: Milton Park
Near zero-loss migration for one of Europe’s largest business parks, delivered with improved visibility and stronger technical foundations.
Milton Park is one of Europe’s largest science and business parks, home to over 250 companies across life sciences, technology, manufacturing and professional services. The estate manages thousands of daily visitors, transport links, community activities and business services — all reliant on a high-performing website.
This project was selected as a finalist for ‘Best Use of Search – B2B’ at the European Search Awards 2025.
Milton Park needed to migrate to a new website design and CMS to improve user experience, content management and long-term scalability. The legacy site contained years of accumulated content, outdated technical structures and inconsistent metadata.
Milton Park selected POLARIS as their partner due to our:
/ Proven track record of zero-loss migrations
/ Clear 5-stage migration methodology
/ Ability to work collaboratively with design and development teams
/ Experience handling complex multi-stakeholder environments
The client’s priority was clear. Protect organic visibility and traffic during launch, while ensuring the new platform was technically stronger than the last. We aligned on four migration goals:
1. Maintain current search visibility during the transition
2. Improve crawlability and technical health
3. Migrate, optimise and refine content for key audience journeys
4. Streamline site structure and remove legacy clutter
The client needed a specialist seo site migration agency that could manage the risk end-to-end, from content migration and redirect mapping to pre-launch QA and post-launch protection.
We applied our 5-stage migration framework to deliver a fully managed migration service focused on:
1. Discovery & Risk Identification
We benchmarked performance, audited top-performing landing pages and identified areas at risk of decline. This ensured development decisions were rooted in SEO priorities from day one.
2. Content Migration
We audited and refined all key pages, updating metadata, H1s, copy structure and internal linking. Outdated content was consolidated, and essential pages were rebuilt for clarity and search intent.
3. Redirect Mapping
A clean, one-to-one redirect map was produced to protect authority, prevent drop-offs and improve the site’s long-term navigational logic.
4. Pre-Launch QA
We conducted full staging checks, validating content, metadata, schema, canonical tags, mobile usability and page templates. Parity checks ensured a seamless transition.
5. Post-Launch Protection
We monitored indexation, redirects, performance, crawl patterns and stability daily for three weeks following launch, addressing any issues immediately.
